A YOUNG schoolgirl wowed judges in the final of Halton’s Got Talent with her extraordinary operatic voice.
She was competing against 17 acts at The Brindley.
Beau, a pupil at Cronton CE Primary School, said: “It was a fantastic experience.
“I was surprised to win with so many good acts performing.”
She now hopes to become a professional singer.
Her dad, Ian, of Linacre Lane, Cronton, said: “It was very emotional.
“She blew the roof off.
“I am sure she will remember the evening for the rest of her life.
“We are very proud of her.”
Beau performed the same song at the national final of Teenstar, a nationwide singing competition, at the NEC in Birmingham on Saturday.
After winning a standing ovation, she came fifth out of 9,000 competitors from across the UK.
Ian, who runs his own brickwork contractors’ business, said: “She was absolutely incredible. She sang her heart out. Everyone was delighted. “She was on another level.”
Ian and his wife, Karen, aged 44, only discovered Beau’s amazing talent when she was eight.
Ian said: “One day she sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
“We were amazed. She is normal little girl but she has such a powerful voice.
“She frightens everyone. It is unbelievable.”
Beau’s head teacher Sylvia Thomson said: “From a very early age Beau’s natural singing ability has shone through.
“Beneath her shy, unassuming exterior, she has a powerful and phenomenal singing voice.
“She has always been a hard working and conscientious pupil who deserves all the success that the future holds for her.”
Beau has been accepted at The Hammond Performing Arts School in Chester and starts in September.
Ian added: “She absolutely loves singing and wants to be in the West End.
“There is now doubt that she will end up performing.
“We want to give her every opportunity and let her develop naturally.”
