THE Chancellor George Osborne came to Runcorn to open a new office for Weaver Vale MP Graham Evans.
He cut a ribbon at The Innovation Centre at SciTech Daresbury.
Mr Osborne said: “This is a fantastic hub where scientists and businesses are able to collaborate to deliver world-class research, innovation and enterprise.
“It is playing a key role in our plan to create a northern powerhouse.
“These offices will be a great new base for Graham to continue to be a strong voice for the people of Weaver Vale and support businesses who are driving growth in the region.”
