CHILDREN are invited to dress up as a princess or superhero and receive a prize.
Free fun-filled events are being held at Widnes Market during the summer.
The first on Saturday, August 1 from 10am to 4pm will see face painters, a magician, themed grottoes, arts and craft competitions and balloon modelling.
Princesses and superhero characters will make surprise appearances.
All youngsters who come in costume will receive a free prize.
Titan the robot is coming on Saturday, August 8 and a mini music festival takes place on Saturday, August 22.
Halton Cllr Ron Hignett, board member for the physical environment, said: “Widnes Market has always been a great place to come and shop offering everything you need under one roof.
"This summer we want to make it a place where the whole family can come and enjoy a great shopping experience but also have a bit of fun at the same time.
"We’re asking people who haven’t been to Widnes Market before to come along and give it a try.
“We know they won’t be disappointed with what they find.”
