A YOUNG schoolgirl wowed judges in the final of Halton’s Got Talent with her extraordinary voice.

Beau Dermott, aged 11, from Widnes performed ‘Defying Gravity’ from the hit musical Wicked and won the show.

She was competing against 17 acts at The Brindley.

Beau, a pupil at Cronton CE Primary School, said: “It was a fantastic experience.

“I was surprised to win with so many good acts performing.”

Her dad, Ian, said: “It was very emotional.

“I am sure she will remember the evening for the rest of her life.

“We are very proud of her.”

Other acts danced, sang, performed musical theatre and Muay Thai boxing.

The finalists included Ella Busow, Caution (dance group), Charlotte Coddack, Emily Dunbar, Ellie-Mae Fillingham , Liberty Fillingham, Kelly Gilbert, Emily Jerram, Beth Lambert, Ella McEvitt, Jessica Mearns, MSA Master Sken Academy, Sophie Powell, Thomas Robertson, Jake Santley, Rossi Walsh-O’Neill and Claudia Wheelhouse.
