CHILDREN had fun making cakes and having their faces painted at a nursery open evening.
Parents were invited to see a range of new facilities at Oakfield Primary School in Edinburgh Road, Widnes.
A giant squirrel entertained children and a raffle raised funds for Halton Haven Hospice.
Head teacher Cath Khan said: “We are very well resourced with excellent outdoor provision which is used throughout the day.
“We now have a forest school area with an orchard, willow dome and chickens.
“Our nursery children are happy and thrive.”
A fully qualified teacher and three experienced key workers team up with a full time special educational needs officer to provide a full range of support.
