POLICE today appealed for information after a pedestrian was injured in a hit and run.
The 20-year-old man was walking along Liverpool Road in Widnes when a vehicle mounted the pavement and deliberately drove into him.
It then sped off towards Chesnut Lodge.
The incident is believed to have taken place near the Albion pub shortly before 11pm on Monday, June 15.
The victim sustained injuries to his back, arms and lower limb and was taken to hospital.
He is now recovering at home.
PC Stephen Whittaker from Cheshire Police said: “This is an isolated incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes they may have any information that could assist our enquiries.”
