HALE Carnival promises plenty of family fun on Saturday, June 13.

The rose queen will be crowned at 12 noon and Hale Park will be full of activities and entertainment.

Children from Hale School choir will open the programme.

More classic cars than ever before will be on display.

Other attractions include Vale Royal Falconry, live music, The Mersey Wave Choir, zumba, clay pigeon shooting, donkeys, a dog show, a treasure trail and fancy dress show.

Carnival chairman Cerri Gallagher said: “We have more stalls than ever.

“Come and join us and help keep tradition and community spirit alive.”

Cakes, perfume, knitting and cards are among some of the many crafts on show.

Visitors can have a go at a make and take stall and try new skills such as making your own planter.

Prizes can be won in the great village bake off.

There will be refreshments and a bar.

Children’s books and rhymes is the theme of this year’s scarecrow competition.

Judges have also been marking entries for the best kept garden.

There will be a drop off point for warm clothes, blankets, food and toiletries for the homeless.
