Last night at Runcorn Rotary Club meeting we had the 47th Regiment of Foot Re-enactment Group as our guest speakers. What! a most interesting evening, not only did the speakers tell us all about "The Lancashire Lads" but they brought along the Uniforms and equipment used during the 18th Century when the 47th Foot served in America during 1770's when they fought in the French and Indian War. This bought the "Sharpe" books to life as the speakers had also featured in the TV version of Sharpe with Sean Bean.
