A WIDNES car dealership has chosen the UK’s only specialist baby hospice as its charity partner.
Motorpoint has teamed up with Zoe’s Place Liverpool, which cares for babies and infants up to the age of five who have life limiting or life threatening conditions.
Based in West Derby, the hospice provides palliative, respite and end of life care as well as on-going support to families throughout the north west completely free of charge.
It needs to raise £1.4 million a year to fund its running costs.
The 50-strong staff have pledged their support and will be organising a series of fundraising events.
They have already raised almost £1,000 after Widnes Vikings players held a charity conversion challenge at their site in Derby Road.
They hope to reach a target of £5,000 by the end of 2015.
