Police re-open exit slip road to Boston Avenue following an incident
A MAJOR road in Runcorn has re-opened after a collision.
An incident involving a taxi at around 7.50am this morning causes the exit slip road to Boston Avenue on the central expressway of the A533 was shut for around an hour.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The incident involved a taxi which appears to have left the road and collided with a sign.
“The driver received treatment at the scene and has been taken to Whiston Hospital.”
The slip road towards Bridgewater has now re-opened
