TOTS and parents got on their bikes to help raise funds towards a new roof.
Vicarage Lodge Pre-School in Highlands Road needs to find £10,000 to fund the construction work.
Toddlers held a mini sponsored bike ride from Runcorn Town Hall to the nursery.
Mums and dads completed a 10-mile route around the town.
Mum-of-two Laura Walker, aged 26, of Queens Road, a member of the parents’ committee, said: “We’re trying to think of as many fundraising ideas as we can.
“Everyone really enjoyed the bike ride.”
Her three-year-old daughter, Sophia attends the nursery and her two-year-old son, Teddy, starts in November.
Parents are holding a summer fair on Saturday, July 4 from 11am to 1pm.
They are also hoping to win a grant from the community fund Aviva.
Mrs Walker added: “We are appealing to people to vote for us. Projects that win the most votes will receive the funding.”
