ETHEL Austin is moving back into Runcorn Shopping Centre after coming out of administration.

The retailer returns later this week into a 3,000 sq ft store beside Santander.

Centre Manager, Karl Clawley, said:” We are working hard to bring both jobs and retail names to Runcorn.

“This is great news for our shoppers and even better news that it creates new jobs within the retail sector.”

The centre is launching a ‘One Stop Runcorn’ project to help people improve their employment skills.

A bespoke training room opens on June 1, offering specialist advice on customer service, merchandising and administration.

Mr Clawley added: “This is a recruitment platform for all our retailers both old and new to find job ready staff.

“We will advertise the jobs, then pre-interview every single applicant.

“If applicants are not job ready, we will be offering them training to prepare for interviews.

“We will have a mock shop for people to learn then put into practice what they have been shown.”
