MORE flights operate on time at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) compared to other UK airports, statistics have revealed.
The latest research published by the Civil Aviation Authority shows that the overall on-time performance of scheduled flights at 10 UK airports in 2014 was 79 per cent.
At Liverpool, punctuality was far better with 90% of flights operating on time .
Colin Swaine, operations director for LJLA, said: “Staff at Liverpool work hard to ensure that flights operate on time focusing on key operational aspects of the business to give our airline customers the highest levels of service.
“This hard work continues to really pay dividends for our passengers too, who can book with confidence, knowing that more flights operate on time from here than at many of our competitors.”
Halton residents are among employees working at Liverpool Airport.
