A MAN has pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving.

But Michael Rollason, aged 39, denies causing the death of cyclist Terry Brown by dangerous driving.

He will stand trial today, Tuesday, at Liverpool Crown Court after pleading not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving.

Rollason, of Wootton Street, Bedworth, denies killing 47-year-old cyclist Terry Brown by dangerous driving while behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra on February 18, 2014.

Dad-of-three Mr Brown from Great Sankey, who was a keen cyclist, was found injured on Warrington Road, Bold Heath, and died as a result of head injuries.

The jury is expected to be sworn in this afternoon with the evidence to be heard over the next three days.
