VANDALS have torched trees, grassland and bins across Halton.

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “It is believed these fires were started deliberately.

“If anyone has any information that could help us find those responsible, please call the police.”

Trees were deliberately set on fire in Runcorn Hill Park in Runcorn shortly before 9pm on Sunday, April 26.

An industrial metal bin was set alight in Grangeway at 3pm on the same day.

Firefighters were called to several small fires near Dundalk Road in Widnes at 9.15pm on Saturday, April 25.

Crews tackled a small fire in Roehampton Drive, Runcorn at 3.45pm on Saturday.

A wheelie bin was torched at the back of McDonalds restaurant in Moor Lane shortly after 9pm on Friday, April 24.

Firefighters dealt with a small fire at a play area in Dundalk Road, Widnes at around 10pm on Thursday, April 23.

Crews used beaters and a water backpack to extinguish a fire on playing fields in Peel House Lane in Widnes shortly after 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 22.

The fire had spread across approximately five metres.
