A RUNCORN mum is tackling a gruelling challenge to help women who have lost babies.

Mum-of-two Kerry Purvis vowed to complete four marathons after she suffered a miscarriage in 2010.

She completed the Liverpool Rock and Roll Marathon last May and the Chester Marathon in October.

A week before running Paris Marathon on April 12, she got married.

She is now preparing for the London Marathon on Sunday and hopes to raise £1,500 for the Miscarriage Association.

Kerry, aged 28, from Higher Runcorn, said: “This charity is very close to my heart.

“One in four pregnancies end in miscarriage.

“I had an amazing support network from family and friends but sometimes you need to speak to someone who has been through the painful situation themselves.”

Kerry, who works full time as a quality administrator, has a son, Adam, aged six, and three-year-old daughter, Alexia.

She added: “I want to raise awareness.

“This charity is there for the whole family.”
