A BRICK has been hurled through the window of a boy’s bedroom in Runcorn.

Luckily, 12-year-old Sean Hill was downstairs watching the television when the incident happened.

Days later a bathroom window was smashed.

It is the latest in a spate of vandalism at his mum’s theatre school, Glenda Hill Theatreworks in Brookvale.

Her family lives above the premises, which have been converted from the former Dray pub.

Mum-of-two Glenda, aged 41, of Mullion Close, said: “We are currently living in a flat above the school whilst we look for a new home.

“We heard a massive smash and found another window broken.

“We just can’t understand why this is happening.”

CCTV cameras are in place and the police have confirmed they are investigating the incidents.

Glenda and her 200 students are busy rehearsing for a two day show at The Brindley on Thursday and Friday.

She said:”We’ve had tremendous support from all our parents.

“I had 130 encouraging comments on our Facebook page which gives me a great boost.

“We give kids so many opportunities. It is sad to think of anyone wanting to sabotage that.

“This place is more than my business, it is my home.

“We are working so hard, trying to do so much for the community, this vandalism is a distraction and is costing us a lot of money.”

The school has several shows coming up including a charity performance in aid of Clatterbridge next month.

Dancers are planning a special celebration next year, inviting past pupils to join them for a unique show to mark their 20th anniversary.

The police are appealing for witnesses to the vandalism attacks.

Anyone with information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101.
