Little Manor Day Nursery in Runcorn has invested £20,000 in a new landscaped children’s play area.

The outdoor facilities in Manor Park now include a woodland area and a vegetable patch where toddlers can grow their own produce and try new healthy foods.

There is also a new muddy area, perfect for puddle-jumping, bug hunting and making mud pies. New toys and outdoor equipment have also been installed.

Nursery Manager Tracy Onokpe said: “The staff and nursery children are very excited about the new facilities, especially now that the weather is improving and there’s more opportunity to take our activities outside.

“We have some wonderful outdoor activities lined up for spring and summer and we can’t wait to explore this new environment with the children.”

The nursery is holding an open day and teddy bears’ picnic on Saturday, April 25 from 12 noon to 3pm.

Families are invited to come along with their children to see the new facilities.
