POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in broad daylight in Runcorn.
The 34-year-old victim was assaulted on the steps leading from Hankey Street, near Percival Lane.
The offender then stole a money tin which had a distinctive £50 note design on it, and fled.
The incident happened at around 11am on Friday, April 17.
Police say the victim was assaulted but was not injured.
The offender is described as being a white man, around 6ft tall with dark hair.
He was wearing a pale blue puffer coat and dark combat trousers.
