AN e-cigarette charger caused a house fire in Runcorn, say firefighters.
Crews, wearing breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze in Canal Street shortly after 4pm yesterday.
Two fire appliances, one from Runcorn and one from Widnes, attended the incident.
A large fan was used to clear the smoke.
Smoke alarms had activated to alert occupants of the fire.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was caused by an e-cigarette charger."
