A DRINKS distribution company has taken over a big modern warehouse in Runcorn, creating new jobs.

K&N has signed a 10 year lease with Pin Property on Edison Point, a 108,000 sq ft facility in Astmoor industrial estate.

The former Superfos manufacturing distribution unit has been extensively refurbished.

New dock level loading has been fitted along with new offices, a new roof and extra space created outside for HGVs to manoeuvre.

Halton Council leader Cllr Rob Polhill said: “This is a key site and it is great news that Pin has achieved another letting in Halton where they have been investing for some time.”

The firm chose Runcorn for its north west base because of its proximity to motorways and the new bridge.

Joint agent Howard George of B8 Real Estate said: “K&N’s decision to locate here was due to superb communications and the opening of the Mersey Gateway.

“We are seeing considerable investment in the region on the back of major capital projects like this.”

Imran Younus, commercial and marketing director at Pin, said: “We have been successful in letting 750,000 sq ft of properties on the Astmoor and Manor Park estates in Runcorn.”
