A WIDNES mum is aiming to become a head teacher.
Mum-of-two Haley Roach, aged 26, is one of a class mature students at Riverside College off to university.
They have been studying an access to higher education course and hope to qualify as nurses, teachers, midwives and social workers and other professions.
Haley Roach from Dock Street, Widnes said: “Before I started the course at college I was at home looking after my two children.
“I feared the unknown and worried how I would cope with juggling family life. “I was reassured by my tutors at Riverside who have continued to be very supportive.
“I am now really excited about starting my primary teaching degree at Liverpool John Moores and would love to be a head teacher of a primary school in the future.”
Every student in Haley’s class has received an offer of a university place in September.
They are now looking forward to embarking on new careers.
