A CRAFT fair has raised £620 for Halton Haven.
A mixture of stalls selling cakes and homemade gifts gave visitors a chance to meet staff and volunteers in the day hospice.
Michelle Gladman, hospice community fundraiser, said: “It was a lovely, sociable afternoon.
“Opening the doors of our day hospice to the community gave us a chance to dispel myths and let visitors see how relaxed and friendly it is here.
"We would like to thank everyone for their support."
Girls from Widnes Vikings Storm Cheerleaders offered to entertain guests.
Many of their family and friends have been touched by cancer so they wanted to perform to make people smile.
The next fundraising event at the hospice is a car boot sale from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, April 18 in aid of the mens shed.
To book call 07702 520802. Sellers can set up at 9am.
