Cigarettes worth £9,600 stolen in Widnes raid
A HUGE haul of cigarettes worth £9,600 was stolen in a shop raid in Widnes.
Two burglars believed to be wearing boiler suits broke into Spar in Ditchfield Road on Sunday, March 29.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The suspects have caused significant amount of damage to the building in order to access the cigarettes.
“The perpetrators had been within the grounds for an hour between 11pm and midnight.”
Detectives are appealing for witnesses.
