CHILDREN had a party to celebrate the 10th birthday of a Runcorn nursery.
Halton MP Derek Twigg was a special guest at Ladybirds Nursery in Halton Lodge Children’s Centre in Grangeway.
Nursery manager Joanne Byrne said: “We look after over 100 children aged from three months to five years.
“Our children are offered play experiences aimed at helping them become confident, curious, creative and able learners with a focus on ensuring each individual child’s preferences and personality is celebrated.
“One of our most important developments has been to our outdoor space which is a real asset.”
Children can now play in a garden which has fruit trees and a pirate ship.
The nursery started as community pre-school and moved to its current location after being taken over by the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
It has been under new management since January 2014 and is run by a team of highly qualified, experienced staff.
