CHILDREN will be avidly nurturing their seeds after attending a free gardening workshop in Widnes on Saturday.
More than 60 youngsters learnt how to grow plants at a fun-filled green fingers session in Green Oaks Shopping Centre.
Most chose sunflowers and said they can’t wait to watch their big yellow blooms sprouting.
Peas also proved popular.
Many of the children said they wanted to take their plants home as a gift for their mums on Mother’s Day.
