THE parents of 14-year-old West Bank schoolboy Lewis Edge said they are relieved the court case is now over.

Lisa Millward and Graeme Edge were devastated when they discovered that Mark Faulkner, who offered to help them raise funds for their son’s charity, deceived them.

After he was convicted, Lisa said: “We are happy with the sentence as the money has to be paid back to Lewis’ charity and it can be used as it was meant to be.

“Mark has also been convicted and will have to live with this for the rest of his life

“I know he shown no remorse for his actions but it has been proven in a court of law that he is a liar.

“We both feel let down by him and we find it hard to trust anyone that way again as we let him into our family and he spent a lot of time with our youngest son, Josh.

“The devastation of losing Lewis will never leave both of us and the fact that Mark knew Lewis and was a friend of his twists the knife a little bit more in mine and Graeme's hearts.

“Hopefully now people can see him for what he really is and we, as a family, can move on and continue with the Brightest Star charity without the dark cloud hanging over us and do our son proud.”
