A TYRE park has been extensively refurbished at a Widnes school.
Pupils at St Gerard’s Catholic Primary School in Lugsdale Road can now enjoy a range of new outdoor play equipment.
Head teacher Karl Landrum said: “We won a lottery bid to revamp our tyre park.”
Halton Cllr Ged Philbin, a school governor, joined officials from the Lottery and pupils to officially open the new facility.
Children can climb and scramble through tyres of different sizes laid out in a challenging design.
The tyre park was funded by The Big Lottery.
