A FAMILY fun day was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Halton Lodge Children’s Centre.

More than 130 families attended the event in Grangeway, Runcorn on Friday, January 23.

Norton Priory historians showed children how to make crafts whilst toddlers enjoyed a bouncy castle and disco.

A variety of information stands were on display.

Parents spoke to staff from Halton’s health improvement team, speech and language and adult learning teams.

Deputy Mayor Cllr Ellen Cargill said: “The centre is a great facility for families in the community and there are lots of great support and services provided.”

Gerald Meehan, Halton Council’s strategic director for children and young people praised staff for providing quality services for families.

Val Armor, principal manager of the centre, said: “I’m so proud and lucky to work in this role.

“I would like to thank all the staff for their continued hard work and particularly, the children and families we have supported.”
