A WIDNES drug dealer has been jailed for 30 months.
Christopher Ravenscroft, aged 31, of Heath Road was arrested after police discovered a quantity of cocaine and other drugs at his home.
They executed a warrant on January 17, following information from the public.
Ravenscroft was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
He was sentenced at Warrington Crown Court on January 19 and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.
Today, PC Dawn Taylor from Widnes Beat Team said: "This is a further example of how seriously both Cheshire police and the courts view drugs and the damage that they inflict on local communities.
“Christopher Ravenscroft was in full time employment and had no previous convictions but is now starting a substantial prison sentence for his role in the distribution of drugs in Widnes.
"I would urge anyone who has any information regarding drug activity within their local community to contact us.”
Anyone with information about drugs can contact Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
