ROALD Dahl’s books were brought to life for children in Widnes.
David Williams brought his vintage 1926 Bullnose Morris into Moorfield Primary School as pupils studied Dahl’s work as part of an author week.
They were reading Danny, The Champion of the World, which features a young boy Danny and his dad, William.
The pair live in a gypsy caravan fixing cars and poaching pheasants.
Head teacher Andy Williams said: “Pupils read childhood favourites such as The Twits, Fantastic Mr Fox, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
“It has been great fun.”
