BUILDERS of the new Mersey Gateway bridge donated £1,000 towards two Christmas parties.
The Merseylink project treated children and pensioners at West Bank community centre to special celebrations.
Around 25 children aged six months to four-years-old who attend day care joined in the festive fun.
Some 45 pensioners who use the centre were enjoyed a traditional three-course Christmas meal.
Richard Walker, project director, said: "The donation has helped to pay for catering for both parties, decorations and a new Christmas tree for the community centre, plus selection boxes and gifts for the children.
“Senior citizens had a festive glass of sherry while having a game of bingo.”
Richard would like to thank Glyn Furfie at Snackshack for providing the catering for the event.
