SUCCESSFUL students at Riverside College’s higher education and access courses have been celebrating at the annual graduation and awards ceremony.
The event, which took place at St Paul’s Church in Widnes marked the special achievements of youngsters who have completed degree level courses and higher education qualifications.
Katie Jo Shields, from Runcorn, who has been studying the foundation degree in counselling, was presented with the higher education student of the year honours for demonstrating exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her studies.
Mary Murphy, Riverside College principal, said: “Our annual graduation ceremony is one of the most important events in the college calendar which celebrates the hard work, achievements and determination of our students.
“It also affirms the college’s commitment to providing opportunities for local people to gain access to higher level qualifications.”
