A THOUGHT-PROVOKING art exhibition has opened at The Studio in Lacey Street, Widnes.
It combines paintings and poetry created by imaginative Adele Reece.
She said she started painting because she was bored.
Adele, aged 39, from Liverpool, said: “I was looking for something productive to do. I like to be creative but had not considered or appreciated how absorbing painting can be.
“I prefer to tell a story through words and images.”
She uses poster paint and felt tips.
Adele added: “I think that words are magical and can have such impact.
“One of the first paintings I did was a collage of different images created by Banksy.
“His influences can be seen in how some of my work presents itself.
“He combines words and images to tell a story or get a message across. I try to do the same.
“The Studio provides great opportunities for artists and musicians to showcase their work.”
Adele’s work will be on display until the end of November.
