RUNCORN schoolchildren have discovered lots of fun ways to keep fit.

Every pupil at Astmoor Primary School in Castlefields took part in a health and wellbeing week.

Teacher Rebecca Lennon said: “Our aim is to promote and encourage the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle while motivating children to take part in activities that are enjoyable and beneficial to their health and wellbeing.”

Youngsters tried Zumba, yoga, making smoothies, martial arts and philosophy.

Pupils said they really enjoyed the new challenges.
