FUN-FILLED Hallowe'en events are set to cast a spell on children at Runcorn’s Norton Priory.

The ancient ruins is hosting spooky family fun over half term.

Witchcraft and wizardry activities are being held from 11am to 4pm on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.

Youngsters can try their hand at potion making using all the latest magical apparatus and supernatural ingredients.

Children can have a go at spell writing using quill feather pens and creepy crafts and trails.

Normal admission prices apply to these daytime activities.

Learning manager Susan Brownrigg said: “Halloween can be hair-raising if you can’t find something to entertain the kids with.

“Norton Priory can magic away all your worries with a choice of enchanting events.”

After dark, from 6pm to 8pm on October 28-30, spooky story evening events are being held.

Children can make potions, carve a pumpkin, look at creepy creatures and join a storyteller in the woods.

Limited places are available but booking is essential.
