A DREAM could soon come true for a Widnes schoolgirl.

Emily Jerram, aged 15, is through to the national final of a singing competition.

She will be representing Ty Mawr Holiday Park in Essex next month and has already won eight days’ holiday.

Her mum, Jane, aged 47, of Rydal Way, said:”Emily has been singing since she was two. She absolutely loves it.

“She spends hours singing and dancing.

“She has performed at the Royal Albert Hall and Liverpool Empire.

“She’d love to be a pop star and make a career of it.”

Emily’s dad, Mark, aged 47, sisters Vicci, aged 29, Leanne, aged 24, and Bethany, aged 21, and brother, Phillip, aged 23, are all supporting her.

Student Emily, who speaks fluent Spanish and helps run an after school dance class, said: “It would be a really big dream if I made it as a singer.”
