TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Widnes.
The boys, aged 15 and 16, from Widnes, were arrested after a 25-year-old Widnes man received gunshot wounds in the abdomen and leg.
Police were called to a disturbance outside a property in St Michael’s View, Fitton at 9.45pm on Wednesday, October 15.
Officers believe a firearm was discharged during the incident.
The victim underwent surgery to remove a pellet from his body and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Two boys aged 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
“Both boys been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
