AN engineering business with headquarters in Daresbury has gone into administration, with more than 100 members of staff made redundant.
Caip Limited, which provides services to telecoms, renewable energy and construction sectors, employed 117 members of staff at its sites in Daresbury, with smaller sites in Northampton, Lymington and Didcot.
One hundred and ten employees have been made redundant and a small number of staff have been retained temporarily to help the joint administrators with the managed wind down of the business.
Paul Flint, associate partner at KPMG and joint administrator, said: “The company has experienced a number of delays on contracts with key customers which has had a significant impact on its cash flow which has contributed to its failure.”
