CHILDREN are invited to draw a picture for a Christmas poster for Widnes Foodbank.
Youngsters aged between five and 11 can enter the competition.
Gareth Watson, communications co-ordinator for Widnes Foodbank, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to actively engage with the young children of Widnes to help them understand the vital role of the foodbank and how grateful we are for the support of the community.
“We are all excited to see what pictures the children will produce.”
A copy of the poster template can be downloaded from widnes.foodbank.org.uk/christmas-poster-competition.
Alternatively, entrants can submit their picture on a blank piece of either A5 or A4 white paper.
Entries can be sent to Widnes Foodbank, c/o Trinity Methodist URC Church, Peel House Lane, Widnes, Cheshire WA8 6TJ no later than November 16, 2014.
Entrants are asked to also include their name, age, and contact details.
The winning design will be selected on November 28, and will be displayed at collection points, businesses, schools and churches around the town.
