WORKS of art produced by Halton residents who have experience of mental ill-health will be displayed at a festival of arts.

An exhibition and fun day is being held from 12 noon to 4pm on Sunday, October 5 at the Resource and Recovery Centre on Marshalls Cross Road, St Helens.

Mental health services provider 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has organised the event.

Simon Barber, chief executive of the trust, said: “We warmly welcome people from Runcorn and Widnes to this free annual event which is designed to inspire, excite and entertain.”

Visitors will be able to see music and poetry performances, wood carving and willow art, creative arts and craft displays, exhibitions and sales and also photographic and scarecrow competitions.

There will be opportunities for people to get involved in craft workshops and to take part in community displays.

Children’s entertainment will also be provided.

A variety of food and refreshments will be available as well as a tombola.
