Firefighters tackle oven fire in Runcorn
A COOKER caught fire in a Runcorn kitchen.
The blaze broke out in an oven at a house in Kingsley Crescent at 4.45pm on Sunday, September 28.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “They then ventilated the property using a high pressure fan and damped down the affected area.
“ The occupier was unable to stay in the house because the fire had caused water pipes to burst. “
