A FLOURISHING Runcorn company has launched their ambitious expansion plans into orbit.

Staff at Freight First dressed up as spacemen to mount Mission 18.

Their objective is to turn the company’s current turnover of £3.5 million into more than £12m over the next four years.

The firm in Aston Lane, Preston Brook specialises in urgent deliveries and says their drivers play a pivotal role.

Seven new Scania trucks have been added to their fleet with more HGVs coming soon.

The company says it prides itself on recruiting and training the best quality drivers as it increases its workforce.

Managing director Simon Meredith said: “There is a lot of excitement around the business.

“It’s a great place to be, surrounded by people who share my ambition and drive.”

Freight First now aims to share their knowledge and expertise of global transport with other companies.

They plan to launch a consultation scheme for small businesses who are looking to import and export and help them to break down the barriers of international trade.
