A ROLEX watch was one of the gems discovered in Widnes by antiques expert David Dickinson.
He was filming his ITV show Dickinson’s Real Deal at Kingsway Leisure Centre on Saturday.
Hundreds of hopeful people turned up with bags and boxes of hidden treasures for experts to value.
Some brought items that had been stashed away for years in the attic whilst others brought along precious family possessions to see how much they were worth.
The programme’s researcher Matt Dawson said: “Filming went really well.
“We had just over 300 people through the door with items such as an antique pinball machine, a Rolex watch that was sold for just under £1,000 and a gramaphone.”
People were offered free valuations for t heir items by various independent dealers.
David roamed round and offered advice about whether owners should take the dealer’s cash or gamble at auction.
He posed for pictures and signed autographs as fans turned up to watch the show being recorded.
It is expected to be broadcast next summer.
