STAFF at a Widnes fashion store will be wearing crazy wigs at the weekend to raise funds for charity.

Employees at Outfit at Widnes Shopping Park are holding an event called ‘Getting Wiggy With it’ for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Courageous teenager 19-year-old Stephen Sutton inspired £5 million worth of donations for this charity when he died earlier this year from colorectal cancer.

The charity provides specialist services for young people with cancer.

Outfit sales assistant Lauren Tobin, aged 27, from Farnworth, said: “All our girls and boys wil be wearing outrageous wigs to try and raise as much money as we can for such a great cause.

“There will be lots of different things going on.”

Professional hairdressers, beauticians and skin care specialists will be on hand to do hair and make up for a small donation.

Lots of prizes have been supplied by businesses for a raffle.

The store is open from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
