For the first time ever, Strictly Come Dancing is opening its doors to the public and they need your help to find contestants.

The BBC 1 dance show is looking for inspiring, unsung heroes to follow in the footsteps of celebrities and learn to dance with professionals.

Halton residents are invited to nominate someone who has genuinely changed many other peoples’ lives.

They could be tireless charity workers, foster parents, emergency service workers or simply someone who has done extraordinary things for others.

This is your chance to nominate your hero or heroine for a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy their very own televised Strictly experience.

It goes without saying that they must be Strictly fans.

The show is going to be a complete surprise to these individuals, so it is very important that they have no idea they are being nominated.

Strictly Come Dancing is one of the biggest BBC shows that can regularly attract up to 14 million viewers.

This programme hopes to highlight the amazing work that people are doing across the country.

To nominate someone, email nominate@bbc.co.uk for an application form before Friday, October 31.
