WIDNES Viking player Hep Cahill made a surprise visit at a fun day organised by Halton Play Council.
He coached children from summer play schemes across Runcorn and Widnes as they came together for a day of activities and entertainment at Bankfield School.
Around 150 youngsters, aged five to 12, able bodied and disabled, enjoyed games, competitions, bouncy castles and an inflatable obstacle course.
Merseystorm Wheelchair Rugby players gave them a chance to experience racing in a wheelchair.
Youngsters then took part in an It’s a Knockout tournament and several Zumba sessions.
Children took part in three weeks of summer schemes, led by highly trained staff, culminating in a trip to Chester Zoo.
