A FAMILY has paid tribute to a young musician who died on his way home from the Creamfields festival.
Aiden Connolly, aged 20, from Glasgow suffered fatal injuries in a collision with a car close to the Daresbury site.
The accident happened at 3.45am on Monday. He was taken to Aintree Hospital after being hit by a Toyota Hilux at the junction of Chester Road and the Daresbury Expressway.
In a tribute, his family said: "Aiden lived a happy and full life. He was a keen guitarist, a dedicated bodybuilder and enjoyed socialising with his family, friends and work colleagues.
"He was kind and thoughtful and his tragic passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him".
