Halton residents can now receive crime alerts from Cheshire Police

CHESHIRE Police is urging Halton residents to sign up for its alert message system.

This free community messaging system keeps people up to date with important information about their area.

It enables you to receive messages fromt he police, including news, appeals, local crime alerts and crime prevention advice through e-mail, text message or voicemail.

Homewatch co-ordinator Liz Biddle said: "Not only can you receive news specific to where you live, but also to your interest or business."

Messages are tailored to your neighbourhood and personal interests.

You can register for Cheshire Police Alert by visiting cheshirepolicealert.co.uk.

I know this sounds sensible, but it is terrible idea. Getting a constant feed of worry and fear will make you feel less safe to live in your community and more wary of people you interact with.
