A WIDNES teenager has won a chance to represent England in an international beauty pageant.
Laura Twist, aged 14, is hoping to become the Face of the Globe.
The Wade Deacon schoolgirl has won a place in the grand final of the competition in London in October.
Her proud dad, John, aged 55, of Cowan Way, a heavy plant driver at Fiddlers Ferry, said: “Laura raised £550 for the Rainbow Trust and also won Miss Charity and Miss Popular.
“She is very confident. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who is very polite.
“Her personality stands out a mile. She is absolutely brilliant.”
Laura’s mum, Lorraine, aged 53, works in customer service at Argos and her brother, Michael, aged 23, is a car mechanic.
Laura, a Widnes Vikings cheerleader, wishes to thank her sponsor Paul Antrobus, workers at Fiddlers Ferry for their donations and everyone who has helped and supported her.
